This is a sensitive spot in the fanbase, especially when it comes to RP. In this fanbase (or in any fanbase) no one can portray a character in exactly the way the creator wanted so sometimes they try to make them into their own character.

I’m not saying this is bad, in fact, I encourage it but it really gets me narked whenever I see one of these portrayals…well gone wrong…

It’s like slutty Arthurs’. They can be successful but they need something to make the character like witty comebacks. They can’t just forever think about sex and as tempting as this may be…it’s in the book of facts in my brain that slutty characters are the easiest likable characters to be. Don’t take the easy route, take time to develop your characters and make a good character. Crack characters are acceptable but undeniably easy to be so every roleplayer should have some sort of serious character otherwise they’ll never get to experience RPing properly.
