Keep Calm and Carry On

Before I start on the official point of this post, I would like to point out why I like the “Keep calm” meme. Recently I saw a status complaining about how the meme was too popular. I am a believer in many memes (especially this one) and I can’t see why people dislike them, it’s not like they’re Mary-sues or anything!~

“Keep calm and carry on” was a poster released in England in war times to encourage people to carry on and not give up when German invasion seemed inevitable. Though this poster wasn’t really of key importance to the war, I admire the historical references and encourage this meme…

Now. . to the main point of this message. I posted it with this title because my mother looked over my shoulder as I was writing this blog and asked why I was only writing about “depressing stuff”. I admit that taking apart a fanbase can be quite depressing but I leave this message in the same way that the “Keep Calm” posters were left in war time. Do not give up hope, there will be good fanworks and there are good fanworks, you just have to look for them.

Until my next post, ciao.
